EFFAS Training and Qualification Commission - TQCThe TQC proved itself as a very effective vehicle for communicating and working across EFFAS within the training and qualification area. There are a number of permanent agenda items, i.e. at the start of each meeting there are presentations by a couple of member societies as to how they are handling their training and qualification, the issues that arise in that area for them, and the plans they have for further developing their training and qualification; another agendum is experiences gained during the examination period, various items of feedback, problems that have been identified, issues related to the training and qualification, etc. Apart from the CEFA designation, CIIA is increasingly gaining momentum. The CIIA equips professionals not only with the necessary global knowledge, but also with the knowledge about local national markets and is being offered in a number of languages. The present designation holder number is over 3,800. Currently there are over 6,500 registered CIIA candidates. In the United Kingdom the ACIIA has an awarding body status and the CIIA is recognised by FSSC (Financial Services Skills Council) as a Key 2 qualification (Fact sheet CIIA UK Recognition).
