The Finnish Society of Financial Analysts

To fulfill its objectives the society:

Forms opinions on issues concerning investment analysis and the financial markets
Forges connections with the societies and organisations in the same industry abroad
Arranges seminars and educational events
Arranges discussion forums

Every year, together with the Swedish Business School, the Society of Finnish Financial Analysts arranges a training and examination programme leading to the CEFA (Certified European Financial Analyst) diploma. The programme lasts about a year and is completed annually by about 30 people.

Currently the society has about 220 members employed in various investment analysis and portfolio management positions. The membership is weighted towards stock market related analysis. Membership is granted to a person who posesses a CEFA diploma or master's degree and has at least one year's work experience or alternatively, to a person with at least 5 years' professional experience of the capital markets.
