MISSION STATEMENT/OBJECTIVES

The purpose of LASMP is:

to facilitate secure and stable Latvian securities market and to promote its development;
to secure observance of honest practice in securities market;
to protect the interests of capital market participants - members of association;
to ensure a complete and fair distribution of information on Latvian capital market in Latvia and abroad;
to provide education and practice of securities market professionals.

For fulfilment of the above mentioned purpose LASMP states the following tasks:

to promote the development and establishment of code of ethics;
to participate in development of Latvian securities market legislation;
to co-operate with state institutions, Securities Market Commission, Riga Stock Exchange, Latvian Central Depository, Privatisation Agency, to represent the interests of Members in the mentioned institutions and to co-operate with institutions alike abroad;
to facilitate spreading of full and accurate capital markets information in Latvia and abroad;
to organise conferences and seminars on Latvian securities market;
to organise public activities
